Buck Moon: Lunar Gathering + Interdependence Celebration

July 8 at 5:00 pm to 12:00 am

Event Navigation

July is known as the Buck Moon, or Hay Moon. Join us for our full moon ritual, potluck, and lots of chanting, drumming and connecting around the fire.

Afternoon: Volunteering/work day
3pm: Year and a Day class (all are welcome!), on magical ethics and light/dark magic
5pm: Community Meeting
6pm: Potluck
8pm: Guest lunar ritual. Ambiaka of EnCHANTment, in collaboration with OSS clergy Kerry Lynn, will lead ritual based on Amiaka’s Heretic tradition.

Our lunar events allow us to gather regularly and enjoy the season, but they are also used as learning opportunities for new clergy to practice, or for our community to meet carefully chosen guest clergy from various paths.

Lunars are free/donation-based. Camping is available for $10/tent/night. Volunteers at work days may camp for free.

Our Year and a Day series is an educational “101” series on paganism and Wicca as it is practiced at OSS. All are welcome. Attendance at 13 classes earns you recognition as having completed the Year and a Day class. For those who cannot attend, the class will be streamed using “Facebook Live.”

For frequent event updates, check Facebook or email info@oakspiritsanctuary.org for more information.

Donations are optional, but suggested for lunar gatherings. We depend on event donations to operate!
