It’s the time of the Great American Eclipse, which means it’s a perfect time to call to the goddess of the vivid night sky and boundless expansion, Nuit! Join us as we call to Nuit, the night before the eclipse (Sunday). She is the principle of expansion and comes to us from the Thelemic tradition, so if you’ve been curious about Thelema, this is a perfect opportunity to explore. There will be a discussion following the ritual on Thelema as well, to answer any questions.

The following morning, learn about how our ancient ancestors perceived celestial events Monday at 10:00 a.m. and again at 11:00 a.m. Led by Mike Sager.

We will have a ritual honoring this celestial event so bring your greatest wish for the coming year, and make it while basking in the strongest liminal energy. Monday’s Eclipse Ritual will begin at 12:30pm in preparation of the eclipse; ending during full on umbra at 1:00 preparing for totality for about 10 minutes, then totality will be about 1:13.

At 3:00 it is our pleasure to announce a workshop on eclipse astrology and astronomy by Donna Woodwell. Though Donna Woodwell attended grad school to become a foreign correspondent, she had no idea how foreign she’d get. After exploring ancient and modern magical and mystical practices for more than 20 years, today she uses astrology to help folks discover – and live – their unique genius. In addition to her private consultations, Donna’s taught astrology and esoteric studies at Kepler College and the University of Texas Informal Classes. She’s also written for major astrological websites including Astrology Hub, where she now serves as Managing Editor. Currently, Donna’s penning a book about the modern-day applications of astral theurgy, how to work with celestial intelligences to enhance your life.

Eclipses are the world’s greatest omen. For millennia they’ve frightened – and fascinated — those fortunate enough to witness them. On a deeper level, the union of Sun and Moon symbolized the “Great Work” emblazoned across the sky and signaled times of social and personal (r)evolution. In her talk, Donna will share the astronomy and astrology of eclipses – how they work and how to work with them to bring their magic down to earth.

Donna will also be hosting a late night sky gazing activity: “It’s 11 o’clock: Do you know where your gods are? How astrology was created as a ritual timing tool.” She will be bringing tools to help see the night sky in all her glory.

Additionally, Monday evening again under the dark sky join us with Rev. Bill Duvendack, professional astrologer and teacher with decades of occult experience, for yet another ritual: ‘Soul Journey for Transformation’ The eclipse that is occurring in August of 2017 is one that can be used for deep and profound transformation, personally and in the context of the world at large. In order to open up to those energies though, we must first go within to prepare to receive what changes are coming our way. In this ritual, we will go down to our core to clear out what needs to go and to prepare for what will be occurring in our lives over the next few months.

To prepare for this ritual, it would be wise to meditate and reflect on what it is time to let go of and to mentally prepare to adapt to what is coming your way. Part of the emphasis will also be on creating a vision for your future and to send that intention out into the cosmos.

The entry fee for this event is $10.00 per adult (17 and over) or $15.00 for couples. For those wishing to stay overnight, camping is available August 20th-Aug.22nd for an additional $10.00 a night per tent (children’s tents are free).
