SUMMARY:General Information about OSS Ticketed Festivals
DESCRIPTION:Oak Spirit Sanctuary hosts four weekend festivals per year for which there is a registration fee.  These are:\n\n\n\nOstara: Around the date of the Spring Equinox \n\n\n\nBeltane: Usually first weekend in May\, closest to May 1st \n\n\n\nHarvest Homecoming:  Usually the first weekend of September\, the weekend of Labor Day.  An extra day of relaxed camping (Monday\, Labor Day) is included in this festival \n\n\n\nSamhain: A weekend close to October 31st  \n\n\n\nOther festivals\, such as a Women’s Gathering\, are developed when there is interest in and planners for such events. \n\n\n\nPricing\n\n\n\nThe pricing of these events was standardized starting from February 2023.  The following price chart may help with planning and budgeting for OSS events.  OSS prices events with three “tiers:”  An early registration discounted price\, a regular price\, and an At-the-Gate price.  Day passes for Saturday are available with a discount for purchasing online.  Usually\, registration opens about five to six weeks ahead of the event. The dates of the price changes are planned in advance and posted with the individual event pages.  The ticketing platform is set to automatically change the price on the appropriate date.  OSS encourages registering online whenever possible as this helps with attendance count and preparation as well as gets you discounted pricing.  \n\n\n\nPlease note that all children 17 years and younger are free for all events. SUMMARY:July Lunar Gathering
DESCRIPTION:All are invited to Lunar Gatherings at Oak Spirit Sanctuary. They are family friendly and FREE.  \n\n\n\nIf you are new to OSS\, attending a Lunar is a great way to “dip your toe” into events at OSS and visit the land.   \n\n\n\nLunars are generally scheduled during the waxing moon phase on a Saturday closest to the upcoming full moon during months OSS is not hosting a larger\, ticketed event.  Some Lunars may occur on a New Moon\, depending on the year.  \n\n\n\nLunars are a one-day event with an afternoon class from the OSS educational series: “A Year and A Day\,” for training and information in basic Neo-Pagan topics.  \n\n\n\nClass is followed by a pot-luck dinner. Please bring a pot-luck dish suitable for about 10 to 12 people with an ingredients list. \n\n\n\nRitual follows the Pot-Luck dinner \n\n\n\nAfter the ritual\, merriment and camaraderie around the evening bonfire complete the night’s observances. Bring your drums and acoustic instruments\, and (adult) beverages of your choice. \n\n\n\nIf you would like to camp overnight\, please visit the Camping Information and Registration page for more information.  You may also register and pay for camping the day of the Lunar.  Simply let OSS personnel know and they will help you out!   \n\n\n\nSchedule: \n\n\n\n4:30– 5:30:  Year and A Day class \n\n\n\n6:00:  Community Potluck Meal \n\n\n\n7:30:  Ritual \n\n\n\nPost-ritual:  Community time around the fire \n\n\n\nNote: OSS welcomes guest presenters. If you or your group are interested in presenting a community-oriented ritual at OSS\, please contact us at info@oakspiritsanctuary.org  \n\n\n\nSometimes\, Lunar Gatherings coincide with OSS Work Days. Joining in for the work day is welcome but optional. If you work at the work day\, camping is free for the evening.

DESCRIPTION:This special event is a favorite of many at Oak Spirit Sanctuary. A homecoming for Oak Spirits and for new and old friends alike! \n\n\n\nThis family friendly festival includes long standing OSS traditions like our Triple Goddess Grape Stomp\, the annual chili cook-off contest\, as well as our annual church meeting on Sunday.  \n\n\n\nProgramming runs Friday to Sunday evening with a “casual camping” Monday\, with no scheduled programming\, for those who wish to stay over until Labor Day.Please read this entire event page. They are family friendly and FREE.  \n\n\n\nIf you are new to OSS\, attending a Lunar is a great way to “dip your toe” into events at OSS and visit the land.   \n\n\n\nLunars are generally scheduled during the waxing moon phase on a Saturday closest to the upcoming full moon during months OSS is not hosting a larger\, ticketed event.  Some Lunars may occur on a New Moon\, depending on the year.  \n\n\n\nLunars are a one-day event with an afternoon class from the OSS educational series: “A Year and A Day\,” for training and information in basic Neo-Pagan topics.  \n\n\n\nClass is followed by a pot-luck dinner. Please bring a pot-luck dish suitable for about 10 to 12 people with an ingredients list. \n\n\n\nRitual follows the Pot-Luck dinner \n\n\n\nAfter the ritual\, merriment and camaraderie around the evening bonfire complete the night’s observances. Bring your drums and acoustic instruments\, and (adult) beverages of your choice. \n\n\n\nIf you would like to camp overnight\, please visit the Camping Information and Registration page for more information.  You may also register and pay for camping the day of the Lunar.  Simply let OSS personnel know and they will help you out!   \n\n\n\nSchedule: \n\n\n\n4:30– 5:30:  Year and A Day class \n\n\n\n6:00:  Community Potluck Meal \n\n\n\n7:30:  Ritual \n\n\n\nPost-ritual:  Community time around the fire \n\n\n\nNote: OSS welcomes guest presenters. Working together is a great way to build connections and support our Sanctuary. \n\n\n\nThis weekend we will meet on Saturday and Sunday. \n\n\n\nThere will be jobs and or projects for everyone regardless of capabilities. Please don’t think because you can’t do heavy lifting or swing an ax there is no way to contribute. \n\n\n\nAttendees are asked to check in with the work day lead\, immediately upon arrival to the property. Be sure to sign the attendance book. (If you are new\, ask anyone who has been to OSS before to show you where!) \n\n\n\nA simple meal is provided by OSS for lunch for most work days unless otherwise indicated. If you have food sensitivities\, you may wish to bring your own lunch. \n\n\n\nOvernight camping is free for the day you participate in a work weekend. \n\n\n\nVolunteering each day earns a $5.00 digital voucher. Vouchers up to half off the registration price may be used for any OSS ticketed events or camping fees. (Does not apply to outside events hosted at OSS.) Please remember to sign the attendance book so your attendance is recorded to be sure to get a digital voucher. \n\n\n\n​​Please Note: Winter Volunteer Days generally focus on our Retreat Center\, but this will be contingent on winter weather conditions.
