Join us this weekend for Ostara!

House Cleansing , Blessing & Warding  by Patrick- Spring is a common time for deep cleaning our homes. “Spring cleaning” can also be done energetically! This workshop will share a variety of techniques for energetic cleansing as well as ways to bless and protect our personal sanctuaries. Some of what we will discuss will be put into practice in our annual retreat center cleansing ritual later in the evening.

Cob seedling pots by Kelsey –  Just in time to get ready for spring planting learn how to make biodegradable seedling pots from a mixture of clay, sand, straw and water in which you can start your seeds before planting directly into the ground outdoors. Hands on workshop!
Spring Traditions Around the World by Patrick – This workshop will explore some of the major springtime traditions celebrated in cultures around the world from South Asia, Japan, the Middle East and Europe.

Art Raffle and Silent Auction- All weekend you can bid on silent auction items and purchase raffle tickets at the registration booth. Winners will be announced Sunday morning but you don’t have to be present to win!

Retreat Center & House Blessing – Following opening ritual Fae and Patrick will lead community members in our annual magical cleansing of the retreat center and a blessing upon the house and all who would enter.

Scavenger Hunt- Grab a map and a set of clues and go in search of prizes scattered about in some of our favorite places on the land.

Crafting- Get into the spirit of the season by creating your own spring time witches ball, natural bird treat, and/or butterfly feeder.

Egg Hunt- A traditional Ostara egg hunt around the retreat center grounds. Please consider bringing your own basket. We will have a limited number available for use.

Potluck Community Dinner- Bring a dish to share and enjoy an eclectic, delicious dinner in community! Please be prepared to write an ingredients list to help those with food sensitivities.

Fireside Social Circle- We’ll be Drumming, singing, chatting, sharing stories, deep thoughts and laughter by the fireside Saturday night after ritual. Bring your voice, instruments and favorite songs!

The Basics of Camping at OSS

The grounds of OSS are open and do not have designated camping sites as one might expect at a state park campground. You may camp anywhere that is not a ritual or community space.  Tent, pull-behind campers, and drivable camping vehicles are all allowed.

Camping is rustic: there are no electric or water hook-ups, no flush toilets.  Porta-potties are available on site. Frog Bog (shower house) will be in operation for this event.

OSS does not offer trash disposal services. Please plan to remove your own trash and recycling.

Pets may attend but must be leashed and under control at all times.

Natural Laws of Oak Spirit Sanctuary

We strongly recommend reading through the “Natural Laws” document to become familiar with the basic policies regarding land use and personal conduct when visiting and camping at OSS.

Accessibility

If you have accessibility challenges and need more information about the grounds or amenities at OSS or how we can best help you, please contact info@oakspiritsanctuary.org.
